Introduction
Welcome to Move, a secure payments and messaging platform operated by Move Money Ltd ("Move", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern your use of the Move mobile application ("the mobile app"), USSD service (*718#), website, and related products, services, content, and technologies (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using Move, you agree to and are bound by these T&Cs.
We may update these T&Cs at any time without prior notice to you, and changes will be effective once posted on our website. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept them.
Your Account
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information during your account registration.
- By registering for a Move account, you confirm that you are of a contractual age and of sound mind and have the requisite authority to operate a Move account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account information confidential, and for safeguarding your password and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account, at our sole and absolute discretion, for breach of regulations, this T&Cs or unlawful activity.
Services
Move enables users to:
- Send and receive money In Ghana Cedis (GHS) within Ghana, with personalized messages.
- Pay bills and purchase airtime and data bundles.
- Complete escrow transactions securely.
- Access services via the mobile app or USSD (*718#).
We may add or remove features at our discretion.
Records and Statements of Transactions
You may access your transactions records within the application by clicking on the transactions tab. This view provides details of every transaction and summary over a specified period.
Permitted Use
You may use Move only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- Share your account details with any other person
- Use Move for fraud, money laundering, or unlawful transactions
- Upload or transmit harmful content (viruses, spam, offensive material)
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Services
Escrow Transactions
Move provides escrow services to protect both buyers and sellers. Funds are released only upon satisfaction of conditions agreed upon between the parties to the transaction. Disputes may be subject to resolution under our Dispute Resolution clause.
Fees
Certain transactions may attract fees, which will be communicated before completion of the transaction request. Fees are subject to change.
Limits on Transactions and Transaction Amounts
We reserve the right, without prior notice to you, to limit the amount of funds that may be permitted per transaction or over a specified period, as well as the number of transactions that may be effected via Move in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Third-Party Services
Move may integrate with third-party services (e.g., banks, telcos). We are not responsible for their actions, content, or policies.
Privacy
We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Move, you consent to such processing.
Where we collaborate with other companies who may use our branding, our Privacy Policy shall not apply to these companies' websites. For their privacy policies, please refer to the respective service provider's site.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Move relies on technological infrastructure (e.g. computer systems, mobile network and internet service providers). We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation. You assume all risks associated with transactions done over the internet. We cannot cancel or reverse payments you make, even if you enter an incorrect amount or incorrect details of a recipient. You acknowledge that we will not check whether the recipient's details you entered are correct. During a service outage, it may not be possible for you to use the Services, and there may be delays in your transactions being processed and being reflected in your account statements.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Move shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that you may suffer as a result of a declined or incomplete transaction, or suspension, termination or unauthorized use of your account.
You acknowledge that information sent over the internet may not be completely secure and we do not guarantee functionality and availability of any terminals nor take liability for any interruption or interception, or loss of personal information or other data that you transmit via the internet.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Move, its directors, officers, employees, and partners against any claims arising from your use of the Services or breach of these T&Cs.
Legal and Regulatory Obligations
We operate controls relating to international sanctions, the detection and prevention of financial crime and prohibited business activity which may delay or prevent us from providing our Services to you or require us to terminate your account without prior notice to you, subject to any restrictions imposed by law.
You agree to provide information and documents about yourself and about your use of the Services reasonably required to assist us in operating our controls.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These T&Cs are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Disputes shall be resolved by arbitration under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798), at the Ghana Arbitration Centre, Accra, in English.
